1 Year Anniversary

Today is the anniversary of my first blog post titled, Introduction and I can't believe it's been a year already! To celebrate my anniversary I've decided to reveal the story behind 'Lauren Vermillion' and I've incorporated this story into one of my favourite looks.

For those of you who are Slipknot fans, the word vermillion probably isn't much of a mystery to you but for those of you who don't know, vermillion is a song by Slipknot and one of my favourites. Listen to it here

The fact that this word symbolises an amazing song, incredible artists and not to mention, the word itself is another word for the colour red, made it the ideal blog name. Back when I started blogging I was a redhead and as long as I can remember, it's been my favourite colour so there was no better word to describe myself and my blog. As for the name Lauren, that's entirely my own.

So my outfit this week is entirely 'vermillion inspired' and features Slipknot (of course) with a few red touches. My Slipknot tee was a rare find and I've had it for years (hence why it looks slightly faded). I really love the print and the fact the it features so much detail on the back.

I combined this tee with a leather jacket, a black beanie (also featured in My Casual Attire), some black leggings featuring an eyelet trim down either side and my red patent Dr Martens (also featured in Going Grunge). Although this is one of my simpler looks, it's definitely one of those outfits you can relax all day in.

Before I disappear for another week, I'd like to thank all of you who read my blog, all of you who I have collaborated with and all who have supported me throughout this year. There is a lot more to come in my second year of blogging and I couldn't be more excited for what 2016 brings.
