Christmas Beauty Haul | NYE Eye Make Up

I hope you all had a magical Christmas and with New Years around the corner, there's no time like the present to share my Christmas beauty haul and the perfect NYE eye make up. I was rather spoilt this Christmas (as I hope you all were) and received so many goodies which as soon as I opened, I simply couldn't wait to blog about.
One of the main gifts I received was make up and the first product in my haul is my new waterproof gel eyeliner. I've only used this product a couple of times since Christmas and I'm really impressed. I love the consistency of the gel itself, it's so smooth and lightweight that it virtually glides on and takes half the time and concentration of a liquid liner. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a major fan of liquid eyeliner but I think I've found something even easier to play with.
The brush is hidden in the lid of the liner and is just the right shape and size for getting to the inner corners of your eye - this can be hard to find with gel liners. The fact that it's waterproof is a big thumbs up but fingers crossed it's New Year's Eve proof as well. Only time will tell.
My new eyeshadow palette couldn't be any more perfect for NYE and contains the perfect shades for that 'party make up look' I always aim to create at this time of year. Each shade has glittery undertones and I used 3 different colours; black, gold and silver.

The black shade is my favourite of them all because it has a sprinkling of sliver glitter which really makes it stand out. I used this product on the outer corner of my eye to create an angled point. I blended the shade into  about 1/3 of my eyelid and along the crease of my eye. This created more definition to my cat eye and gave the look it's smoky feel.
I then added the gold shade to the rest of the eyelid and in order to create a gradient effect, I carefully blended the two colours together where they met. To finish the look off I added a touch of silver eyeshadow to the inner corner of my eye to brighten up my eyes and the overall look.
One of my favourite gifts, this bottle of perfume, is the icing on the cake and a must have for those special nights out. It smells sweet, expensive and I can't get enough of it. And isn't the bottle amazing?
Last but not least, this gorgeous gel finish nail varnish adds a pop of colour and even more shine to my NYE prep. It dries with an almost matte finish but with the top coat added, the metallic aspect comes out of its shell. I think it really stands out against my pale skin and I love the bold colour.
I hope you've liked my Christmas beauty haul and NYE eye make up, this is just a taste of what's to come next year. In the meantime have a fun and fantastic New Years and I'll see you in 2016.
