Let's Go Murphys

Jacket: Topshop | Top: Unknown | Necklaces: Urban Outfitters | Belt: Attitude Clothing | Leggings: River Island | Shoes: Unknown
This week I've been inspired by the Dropkick Murphys and the DIY band shirt I made earlier this year. Before I got my hands on it, this tee was 10 times too big and although I could have done it much more justice, I really like the outcome.

I frequently listen to the Murphys while I'm writing my blog posts, which why I felt so inspired and decided to incorporate this tee in my blog. So let's get to the fashion side of things; it makes for an interesting story. This top wasn't originally mine and my method for creating this top was to find a pair of scissors, cut away the excess material and add a halter neck. The best part was that I didn't have a sew a thing! I used knots to secure the halter neck and to pull in the top son that it fitted my frame.
To make this outfit complete, in murphys style, I wore a vintage pair of green Dr marten style boots (there's no other colour than would compliment this look) which were bought for me on a trip down south. I also added some leather look leggings as well as my trusty leather jacket. I really liked incorporating green into my usual black sense of style and as a whole, this outfit is definitely a winner. I'm ashamed I hadn't put it together earlier.

Keep your eyes peeled for another murphys post, they do amazing women's merchandise which I intend to add some pieces my wardrobe sooner or later. Don't forget to check out my DIY Band Shirt post I posted a few months back.
Until next week,
