Witching Hour

Hat: H&M
Top: Amazon
Skirt: Disturbia
Shoes: Topshop

As the sun is finally back, today I took a trip down to Weston-Super-Mare. I thought it would make a great background for a blog shoot and I wasn't wrong. I really love the juxtaposition between the sunshine and my dark, witchy look.

This look is inspired by witches and I don't mean Harry Potter style witches (although Bellatrix Lestrange is an exception), but witches all through time. Witches are officially the biggest style icons in alternative fashion and I have always admired this style of clothing. I couldn't wait to bring it to life.

I brought my floppy hat with Wynona Ryder in mind as Lydia Deetz in Beetlejuice; this hat is such a classic yet bold statement that I've always loved. My top was something I came across on Amazon. I'll admit, it's quite a pain to put on but I soon figured out that it's a halter neck which wraps around the front and ties up at the back.
The midi skirt, my favourite part of this outfit, is beyond comfy, flattering and the print is amazing while mirroring one of my previous posts, Inspirational Tees. The 'peace off' print has to be one of my favourites. Plus I got this skirt on sale, so it couldn't get any better!

A few little touches include a deep purple lipstick, skin coloured tights and sunglasses. I'm also rather aware of my restricted height situation and that a midi skirt can emphasise this so I wore some heels to balance things out.

I really love this outfit and feel like I've brought my inner witch out to play. I hope you love it just as much as I do. FYI I'm sure this skirt is still on sale - but don't take my word for it.
