Summer Knitwear

Dress: Urban Outfitters
Necklaces: Urban Outfitters
Bikini Top: Newlook
Leggings: River Island
Boots: Primark

As you all know, this week has been a scorching one. So I think it's about time I introduced some summer knitwear and believe it or not this does exist. Earlier this week I bought this gorgeous knitted dress which is as light as a feather and perfect for this heat. As soon as I tried it on in the fitting room of Urban Outfitters, I knew it was a piece of clothing I had to blog about.

I paired this cream coloured knitwear with a black leather bikini top and some leather look leggings. I may have opted for cream but I still need some necessary leather in my looks. The bikini top is in the style of a balconette bra. I think this shape is really flattering and gives women that 'desired' shape. The leggings compliment the leather further and adds some balance to the look. Of course though, you could replace these with some shorts or even a matching pair of bikini bottoms.

I added a pair of chunky lace-up boots to prevent the midi dress from making me look shorter than necessary and with a few finishing touches left, this look is almost complete. Next up, necklaces. I love chokers and this is where layering jewellery begins for me. The black pendant and tattoo choker together, keep the black and cream contrast flowing and the oversized silver pendant adds some silvery depth and length into the mix.

When applying my make-up, it seemed plausible to wear some matte black lipstick. I didn't think red or any other colour could compliment this look as much a the boldness a black lipstick can create. It also enhances the black leather look effect in this look.

Overall I really love the contrast of colours I have created in this outfit. The black lipstick against my skin tone reflects the black bikini top and leggings against the cream dress.  So if you're after an alternative summer look, I would definitely keep knitwear in mind.
