The Luxury of Lace

Lace is a pretty big part of alternative fashion in my eyes. I love it! The pattern has travelled all through time and has found a place in my wardrobe. I've been waiting to do a post about this outfit for a while now and I'm really excited to share this with you all!

This gorgeous dress was an amazing find. The layered lace detail looks incredibly delicate yet, with it being dark green in colour, it isn't too feminine. I wore a few of my favourite rings this week to add something a little bit different into the mix. Fashion and jewellery go together really well and silver jewellery is the best example of this.

I added my leather jacket because even thought it's the month of May, it's still freezing in the UK. (And apparently now I'm rhyming?!) I think that the leather brings out my black lipstick against my pale skin tone, which is a contrast I love to take advantage of! It also gives the outfit an alternative edge which is one of my main aims with pretty pieces of clothing such as this.

This dress has 3 main advantages for me; for one, it displays each of my tattoos, it also fits like a glove in all areas and finally it can be dressed up or dressed down. These 3 things are usually what I look out for when I'm clothes shopping. (with the exception of PJ's of course).

So, have fun at dressing down a dress as amazing as this. Remember, there literally are no rules! Just because you own a luxurious dress, that doesn't mean you have to find a rare occasion to wear it - just add some leather and black lipstick!
