Dark Florals

I know it's a day late but Happy Easter!
This year, the spring holiday has lead me to go outside of my comfort zone. I'm not usually into wearing florals, let alone pink florals but I've added my comforts (a leather jacket and some black heels) and now this dress is something I couldn't wait to show off. I bought this slip dress last summer - I'm always trying to find the perfect occasion to wear it and there's no better to time to go floral than Easter weekend.

I love the effortless way the dress falls and the lace V-neck trim, they're the aspects of this dress that caught my eye. As for the floral pattern, the red against the black is all I could ask for .The pink was just a compromise I had to make. I'm definitely not a girly girl at heart.

I wore a bowler hat and leather jacket to add my own little twist to this outfit, staying true to my individual style. I also wore a pair of skin coloured tights with a pair of black knee highs over the top. I think this balances out the amount of skin on show considering it is somewhat a short dress. In my world knee highs go with every outfit whether you're wearing a dress, skirt or shorts.

And finally, I dug out some simple black wedges which go perfectly with these socks, making it a bit more feminine than I'm used to. It's always exciting going outside your comfort zone when it comes to fashion. You never know what outfit you might come up with. I encourage you to do the same. Have fun creating!
